Founders Story:
Bobby, Judy, and Bill Edwards are the trio that created the product Squatty Potty. Bobby was working as a designer and contractor, while his parents were already retired. With both retired parents and the obvious choice was to make Bobby the CEO of Squatty Potty.
The motivation to invent Squatty Potty came from a personal experience. Judy had issues of hemorrhoids and constipation, leading to difficulties. When in consultation with a doctor, she was told to try squatting.
Judy consulted her son, Bobby, about her problem. Bobby, with on his background in design, made a step stool. When Judy tested the stool, she pooped with ease. True to their experience they gifted these stools to the near and dear ones, who also benefited from this support.
Bobby then decided to open a website and started making the product in bulk. The company clocked 1 million sales in their maiden year itself. This was impressive as Squatty Potty was born inside the family garage.
