Joshua or Josh Brooks is the founder of Postcard on the Run. He started the business in 2011. He attended the University of Arizona from 1994 to 1998. After graduating, he wanted to work for a tech company and he joined Myspace. He was the head of marketing for three and a half years.

He worked hard to launch his own company and raised one million dollars for the same, launching On the Run Tech. He launched Postcard on the Run by collaborating with Selena Gomez, who invested in the business and helped market the app.

Robert Herjavec gave an offer of $30,0000 in exchange for a 10% equity. Brooks gave a counteroffer asking for a valuation of $5 million. Robert said he couldn’t go above the $4 million valuation offer so Brooks gave another counter asking for $4.5 million. Robert didn’t zig-zag and Brooks finally accepted Robert’s offer and made the deal.

What happened to Postcard on the run after the Shark Tank Show?

After the show, the deal made between Postcard on the run and Robert Herjavec was closed. After the airing of the show, the Postcard run enjoyed great success as lots of people were onto it. After the show, the success of Postcard and its popularity created the biggest hindrance in front of them only. The postcard was a niche business concept, but after the show aired many competitors appeared in the market. New start-ups were started similar to that which was impacting the growth of Postcard run.

During the pitch, the postcards on the run came up with a valuation of $6,000,000. All the sharks were out due to high valuation demand without any justification. Robert Herjavec said he saw potential in it and gave a valuation offer of $3,000,000. Brook asked for a valuation of $5,000,000, which was denied by Robert and he took the deal at a valuation of $4,000,000.

After the show, postcards on the run were not very active on social platforms. Their website and application were still active but were not as active as before. The last blog was posted at the end of December 2013 by the website. As of 2015, they announced that postcards on the run will no longer be available for service.
