The idea came up to her when she found an old family recipe which she started to cook for herself, then the idea of a business venture was born.

The dish started its journey online in 2007, then it was sold in her very own restaurant in the year 2009. Unfortunately, the ceiling collapsed due to heavy rains, which told her to move on.

Did Gumbo brick get a deal on the Shark tank?

The international soup with a twist came into shark tank seeking $200,000 for 20%. The sales for the business in the past two years is $500,000, selling to customers in Costco. Robert is next to talk about his opinion, He believes the margins of the product are too small and it is not ready, this, makes him go out.

Kevin compliments the product and thinks it is fantastic but is worried about the infrastructure in store. Lori Greiner loves the product and the founder but says the valuation is too high. Foster says that she is a homeless person who has dedicated her life to getting the business off the ground. Kevin responds to the comment with emotion and says he is ready to put half the cost and wants to check whether Lori can come in with him on the other half. She recovers after a shock and responds, yes. The two of them offer $200,000 for 50% of the company. Foster accepts the deal.
