The brand saw an expansion in other subjects like Social Sciences and English as well as science. Even If the idea sold to the sharks well, they were not able to leverage it to the potential it had.

Who is the founder of Classroom Jams?

Mark Furigay is a simpleton, who comes from Chicago Illinois. He thought he could revolutionize the way kids knew about Shakespeare. He developed songs written by him for each of the plays Shakespeare and backed it with music.

He is a high school English teacher. He believes his product will allow every child to learn literature and the language in a much easier and more jovial way forward.   

Did Classroom Jams get a deal on Shark Tank?

The co-founder of Classroom Jam started his shark tank pitch with a musical note by playing an album of his product to the Sharks, who were quite impressed. He told them about the future prospects of the company for expansion.

Later Kevin is the first one to make the deal. Firstly, he asks Mark to leave the stage in order to discuss the deal. Next, the battle starts with negotiation and gets brutal.

 Kevin tells Marc his deal is $250,000 for 5% royalty and 100% of the company. Mark seems concerned so he’s about to make a counteroffer. Robert makes a deal of $250,000 for 51% for Mark to buy back 49%. Mark said that he would like the deal to consist of all the sharks. He still is persuaded to take the original deal after quite a mature discussion he finally accepts the deal made by all the sharks. The sharks felt they had struck gold.

What happened to Classroom Jams after Shark tank?

Post appearance on shark tank Marc’s business became less noticeable on the website. They, unfortunately, made no sales. Even if Kevin took classroom jams to the Houghton Mifflin Company. They allowed him to give a national test, but after this meeting, there was no execution of the plan and This led to the downfall of a great deal. In his pitch, he said the product of 30 CDs will sell for $499.

PRODUCT ANALYSIS:

The product is an amalgamation of 30 CDs. It has all of Shakespeare’s plays in the form of music. The product sells for $499 for 30 CDs.

At the time of the shark tank appearance, Classroom Jams was valued at around $250,000. It is safe to say they are out of business now.

The company planned big on how it will do in the future but was not able to see the light of day. They planned to use the same idea for science and social science. He also planned to create new covers for the CD set which could not prosper long.
