Three65 Underwear was founded by William Strange and started in the year 2013. William Strange was having lunch with a bunch of his friends and was talking about Dollar Shave Club, which provides razors and full kits on a subscription basis. They sat together and decided to do this similarly, which means the concept would remain the same but with different products or services.
William Strange realizes that, like some of our necessities, underwear is also the one that will be required for our daily use. Once we grow young, we start to purchase them by ourselves and there we realize how costly it is. Therefore, they decided to go with underwear and socks. That’s how Three65 Underwear came onto the market.
Did Three65 get a deal on the Shark Tank?
Will Strange, the founder of Three65, came on the show in search of investment and was successful in hitting two sharks in the tank. Will Strange explained the qualities and USP of Three65, which makes it more productive and unique in the market. During the pitch, Will Strange shared that he was running two starts- at the moment to which all the sharks suggested he go with one or else, he’d have nothing in his hand.
After a bit of chattering, Janine Allis and Naomi Simson gave an offer of $120,000 in exchange for 50% equity in the company, which means $60,000 for 25% each. All the sharks were out due to some of their reasons for not taking risks by investing in the company. Will Strange accepted the offer of Janine and Naomi. William shared that it was not as if it looked like they had a conversation of 45 to 90 minutes, which they cut down to 5 to 10 minutes and telecast only the interesting part. After dropping the deal, the initial investors helped William with candidates to manage his first business. So that he can give his full time to SPT, his second business.
