Painted Pretzels is founded and developed by a young women entrepreneur called Raven Thomas. She left her dream career to make her company a unique pretzels-making brand throughout the country. She made pretzels for her family and friends and they loved their taste and suggested she should sell them. Later, she researched that and launched her website, and started selling them online.
She started making different varieties of pretzels by making combinations of various chocolates and other foodstuffs that can be used in making pretzels and invented different numbers of varieties and toppings on her own. Her pretzels were loved by many peoples and they become a well-known brand after that, later she started selling them in her local shop.

Painted Pretzels is introduced as a unique pretzel-making brand in ABC’s famous reality show Shark Tank in Season-3 and Episode-6 by the founder and owner named Raven Thomas.
She appeared on the show and showed sharks her pretzels and talked about her uniqueness that she makes pretzels in different varieties and has different toppings in them. She used many types of chocolates along with some milk or butterscotch and peanut butter to coat her pretzels and used different varieties of toppings including candy bars, nuts, and fruits too.
She gives the samples to sharks and asked for an investment of $100,000 for 25% equity in her company. Sharks found the product interesting and asked for her sales: – Over the last 12 months, she made about $75,000 in sales. Also, she got another order last week for $64,000 and has a pending order of $140,000 worth that she doesn’t have the capital to fill.
Sharks loved her sales figures and her pending order valuations and asked, what makes her come to Shark Tank. She answered them she came to the show because she really needs strategic partners and investments too. Kevin O’ Leary told her that there is nothing unique in it. She can be copied by any other pretzels makers easily, thus, they send them back.
Later other sharks asked her to give them a strong reason to invest in her business as she told them that she has to walk away from a $2 Million deal because she doesn’t have the capital to fill the order. All Sharks got impressed with her answer and initially, Mark Cuban offers him $100,000 for 25% of equity and offered her to put their pretzels in their Landmark Theaters. She accepted Mark’s offer. After the show, she gets a huge demand for her pretzels as people wanted to taste her pretzels and she became a well-known brand in the entire nation. Raven works hard to complete her orders and made Painted Pretzels a well-known brand. She leased a mega kitchen and a candy factory to fill her large orders. She started selling it to various parts of the country through her website and Amazon.
Painted Pretzels are in Niemen’s Marcus and Sam’s Club. Later they stop selling it to Amazon and give her full potential in making orders for Mark’s Landmark Theaters. In 2021, the company made sales of over $1 million.
