Who are the founders of the Funhouse Project?
Todd Robbins and David Adamovich are the founders of the FunHouse Project. Robbins loves to perform magic tricks for known and unknown people. He is trained in intriguing deceptions, offbeat amusements, and arcane forms of popular entertainment. He is already a New York-based performer.
Adamovich, on the other hand, was a professor for eighteen years. He is also an ordained minister, who manages a billiard hall. When he turned fifty, he discovered that he was very passionate about knife throwing. He proceeded to set over twenty-five world records in the activity. He also has the record for most knives thrown around a human target.
Did the Funhouse project get a deal on Shark Tank?
Todd and David came on the show seeking an investment of $300,000 for 20% equity in exchange. Todd and David started their pitch with the simple trick of mentioning their skills first. After that, they shared unbelievable and unacceptable information which shocked all the sharks.
They shared that it costs around $1.5 million initially but will require $ 7 million as a cost of operations annually. All the sharks were in a chaotic state. Kevin O’Leary is not good at holding his emotions and therefore, he said they were going nuts and off the pitch. Robert Herjavec mentioned that there was too heavy risk involved in it and, therefore, he went out.
Kevin Harrington agreed to Robert’s point and went out for the same. Barbara Corcoran justified her going out by saying the cost of branding the business. All the sharks, including Daymond John, went off the pitch. No offer was placed on the table. Todd and David went back with no deal in their hands. Their magic didn’t work for them.
What happened to the Funhouse Project after the Shark Tank Show?
Funhouse Project has a bunch of magicians, knife throwers, entertainers, fire breathers, etc. Todd and David used to perform in restaurants and other local areas but were not able to collect the required funds for a big space. They didn’t approve the Funhouse project during the show, which didn’t allow Funhouse to leave the ground.
After the show, Funhouse was not able to raise funds from anywhere, and, unfortunately, they decided to go back to the local segment. During the pitch, they held a valuation of $1,500,000, which was not valued by the sharks. The shark felt that there was too much risk and, therefore, after the show, they didn’t seem to be successful.
After the show, they went back to perform where they used to perform but had no official website. Unfortunately, as of 2022, they are no longer in business. Funhouse Project is no longer having or sharing fun. Todd is currently working for Magical Night Incorporated and he has also written a book called ‘How to get something for nothing.
