Desk View was founded by Jason Grohoski and Michael Bolos. They knew how people opt for standing desks to work but the options available, on the market are expensive. They wanted an inexpensive and sleek solution to this problem and hence, they created DeskView. The co-founders created a much-needed product for the masses and launched it on the market. Jason and Michael came on the show seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for 7.5 % equity. They explained and showed a demonstration of their product and said offices are the future of their business model. Desk View had sold 800 units, which means a sales value of $162,000 in total before their appearance on the show, which was generated from Kickstarter and direct sales from their official website.

Founders of Desk View have forecasted its future in B2B space. Sharks were very impressed with the product and profit margin but, felt the sales price was too high to go. Jason replied that if they get more orders, they can cut down the manufacturing costs by up to 20 to 30%. Robert Herjavec, Mark Cuban, and Barbara Corcoran showed zero interest in putting their money into Desk View and went out on behalf of them for personal reasons. Kevin O’Leary showed his interest and gave an offer of $150,000 in exchange for 15% of their company.

Lori Greiner jumped onto the pitch and placed an offer of $150,000 in exchange for 33.3 % of their company. Lori said it needs a lot of work to get where they are dreaming of. After hearing the statement, Mr. Wonderful immediately modified his offer to $150,000 for 20% equity. Jashon and Michael gave a counter offer to Lori for 20% equity. Lori Greiner goes out by saying no to that. They had no choice. In the end, they took Kevin’s offer and received the signed check from him.

What happened to Desk View after Shark Tank?

After the show, Desk View gets huge attention as it is very simple to use and attach. Desk View can be easily attached at a comfortable height to the mirror glass, which gives an authentic look at the outside view and builds interest in the work. The deal made on the show was closed between Desk view and Kevin. There has not been much change in price segments in the last 4 months after the airing of the show.
