Michael was feeling stressed out at work and as a result, used to drum on the surface of his table, and people used to say are you a drummer. Then a friend advised him to stick tape on his fingers to reduce the stress but this just made his hands stickier. After heeding the advice given by many he finally decided to develop his own solution.

There was surely a need for the product calm strips brought as the two owners of Calm strips were totally stressed out about missing a deal let’s find out why? The inventor and director of calming strips entered the shark tank asking for an investment of $250,000 for 10%.
They started off by telling how the product helps beat anxiety issues and the adhesive properties of the product. Next samples are distributed and the reactions were unique.
Starting off with Daymond who did not understand the concept. Luce explains that 100,000 people get the idea and have purchased the product so far, after purchase the return rate is less than 1%. The cost to make a five-pack of soft textured adhesives is $1 while to make river rock textured ones it is $2.
The sales so far are $2.5 million. Kevin loves the product. Daymond is the first one to go out on a deal because he doesn’t get the concept. Mark is next as he thinks it’s hard to scale the product, he’s out. Robert offers $250,000 for 35%. Kevin offers $250,000 $2.50 per unit sold until $250,000 is paid back plus $1.50 per unit till perpetuity.
Robert counters and says he wants $2.50 per unit sold and $1.50 till he gets paid $750,000. Micheal is interested in what Lori has to say, Robert goes out. Lori is interested in 8% of the company and wants to match Kevin’s offer. Micheal counters to Robert for 20% equity and he says no. He is asked whether he will do the original deal the answer is yes, they team up with Robert.

The flooding of orders saw no end after they aired on shark tank. The sales suddenly spiked and they were popular. Now they are in 30 mom-and-pop stores around the country. They have also helped kids in schools reduce anxiety with around 3000 schools using the product.
