Who is the founder of OatMeals?
Samantha Stephens is the founder and the head of Oat Meals. After her graduation, she qualified as a pastry chef in 2010 from New York University. Samantha used to live in New York at student’s budget for her education which means she had to adjust her eating lifestyle and she did the same.
Samantha used to have Oats for her Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. We know that people usually get bored of the same taste so we change our menu. But Samantha Stephens’ head hits an idea of adding a different flavor to Oat Meals and trying to diversify it.
Samantha completed her education with an aim of opening a restaurant with different flavors of ingredients and healthy living. She opened Oat- Based meal restaurant in mid- 2012 and after six years, she holds $2.5 million in sales with additional money. Samantha thought of expanding her healthy idea and in search of investors, she reached the Shark Tank Show.

Entrepreneurs pitch their products with different offers in front of sharks. Founder of Oatmeals, Sam Stephens came into the show in search of investors for an amount of $500k for 15% equity.
Kevin O’Leary and Daymond John refused to be part of her business as it would not stay stable in such a competitive market as per their opinion. Even then, did hit the two sharks, Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner. Barbara offered $500k for 50% of her business and Lori $500k for 33.3% equity along with some conditions.
After the final thought, Stephens gave the deal to Lori Greiner for $500k with 33.3% equity in her business.
What happened to OatMeals after Shark Tank?
The restaurant was opened in mid-2012 in New York and six years later, the restaurant generated $2.5 million in revenue, as did the owner’s additional earnings as a spokesperson for Quaker Oats. And so she began looking for investors to help grow the business and brand, producing OatMeals products that could be sold to grocery stores across the country.
Due to Covid-19, Samantha Stephens closed Oat Meals on January 24th, 2021. She still continues to work with Quaker Oats, spreading a variety of Oat Meals around the world. She is also working on a recipe blog and cookbook so she can share her inventive recipes with Oatmeal lovers around the world.
Although they are still selling Granola through the online stores.
