“I-want-To-Draw-A-Cat-For-You” is a cartoon painting of stick-figure cats that are drawn and sold by “Steve Gadlin” an artist who draws cat paintings for their customers according to their demands. After the show, he is interviewed by “Forbes” magazine for their drawing that is sold at $1000. Steve stop’s receiving orders after a few days of Forbes interview by saying that “the project has run his curse” they are not satisfied with the price of their projects to draw a project for $9.95. After a few months, they again started receiving orders from November-15 but at  $29.99 each.

Steve Gadlin introduced his cartoon drawings “I-want-To-Draw-A-Cat-For-You” in the Shark-Tank show in season 2 and episode 3. He delivered a musical and dancing presentation to sharks and showed them some samples of it.

Steve come for an investment of $10,000 for 25% of the equity of its business. Sharks like their form of presentation and asked about their sales figures. Steve explains about their sales that, They can sell over 1,200 drawings in a year before the show at $9.95 each.

Out of which 932 are drawings are sold on their website where they regularly post their work and take orders. They can make 25 drawings in an hour, and approx. 1000 a week. They explain about their customers as they have customers who buy their drawings to start their own cat drawing gallery.

They also explain the uses of the funds as they want to use $10,000 to firstly grow their website (e-commerce platform) secondly they want to start dabbling into things like greeting cards. Sharks like their drawing but don’t find any business tactics in it. Therefore all sharks have backed him except “Mark Cuban” who offers them $25,000 but at 33% of equity and Steve accepted the deal. That’s how they get a deal on Shark-Tank.

I-want-To-Draw-A-Cat-For-You receives massive popularity as the number of visitors to its site increases immediately after the show and Steve receives a bunch of new orders after the show.

In 4 years they have drawn more than 18,794 cat drawings for their customers through their website also they started to sell their cat T-shirts and a few of their novelty items on their website. Have employed several employees.

In 2015 Steve stopped their cat drawing business for his new Television show “Steve Gadlin’s Star-Maker” However his website shows that Steve still draws cats drawings to those who requested them as they also sold their “10 cat drawings at $1,000 each” and interviewed by FORBES for that.
