Jason Burns, a.k.a, the Fidget Man, is from Calabasas, California, and was diagnosed with severe A.D.D when he was in the 11th grade, but thanks to his pediatrician helping him, he was able to concentrate and study better.

He made his first fidget in 2007, and then made more of his product and give it to his friends while also selling on eBay. Everyone loved it and then he quit his job to start his company, Fidgetland and earned the name, the Fidget Man.

Did Fidgetland get a deal on Shark Tank?

The pitch begins when the founder of the company, Jason Burns, introduces himself by calling himself the Fidget man from Fidget Land. He is asking for $50,000 in exchange for 10% of his company.

He then starts explaining his condition of A.D.D and talks about how he and others are full of energy and have a hard time focusing, which leads to them having strange habits, like pen-clicking., to make their brains focus, sometimes to the discomfort of their peers.

He now says that his solution is a range of fidget toys that help people focus and burn excess energy, but are more discreet, i.e., not causing disturbances to others as he shows that he has had one in his hand the whole time.

He talks about how it helps people with diagnosed/undiagnosed problems to concentrate better, and then he gives a few of them to the sharks. He shows them that there is no wrong way to use the toy and it fits right into their hands and then Barbara asks how he came up with the idea, so he recounts his life and how he used a bike chain and some key rings to make it.

Kevin asks about his sales and he says that he has sold around 50k units, around $500,000, and plans to sell more than that in units that year. He also talks about how he grew from passing his product to friends and selling eBay to opening his own full-time company centered around it. The price ranges around $8-$15 with production costs around $1.35- $2.69, with around an 80% profit margin.
