Martin Hill the founder of Beebo, is a successful entrepreneur. He invented it from the scratch. He used to manufacture, patent design, and distribute to the US and abroad. He is an electrical engineer by profession and also a very loving and dedicated dad. He got the idea to discover Beebo from his own son whom he used to feed in his free time.
He shared that his son is a fussy eater to which he worked and founded Beebo and turned this into a business model. Beebo helped him to hold a book in one hand. He decided to name it Boobie but got settled with Beebo. Currently, Martin and his wife both work as directors and board members of their new company Better Family Inc.
How was the Beebo Shark Tank Pitch?
Beebo was mainly concerned with its packaging process and needed the expertise of a shark along with an amount of investment which made him appear on Shark Tank season 7, episode 1, with a pitch of $200,000 for 20% equity in the business.
He showed and explained the working model and benefits of Beebo along with the need for a shark’s expertise. He distributed samples to the sharks and explained to them how it exactly works and its sales numbers to date.
Kevin said that he liked the product and gave an offer of $200,000 for a 33% stake in the company. Robert appreciated the product but didn’t find it a problem and turned himself out.
Mark also went out for the same. Lori Greiner gave an offer of $200,000 for 30% of equity and asked Ashton to join him, Ashton agreed and the offer was clearly in front of Martin Hills. He took a moment and agreed to the deal of Lori and Ashton which was $200,000 for 30% equity in the business.
What happened to Beebo after Shark Tank?
After Shark Tank, Beebo captured fame but Lori and Ashton didn’t come into agreement in reality but the company still managed to grow.
The company has also released new products, including a line of silicone baby bibs and a convertible baby carrier. The Beebo has received positive reviews from parents and has become a popular baby accessory.
Now, it is available on the Better family, BuyBuy Baby, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They have added a variety to it in terms of colors, now it is available in the market in three colors: raspberry, teal, and charcoal. It is still available in the market and earns around $ 5 million in value through it.
In 2020, Better Family, Inc., a Florida-based company that owns the patents to The Beebo, has been acquired by Swabbies Tech, Inc. of Dunnellon, Florida.
