What happened to Wine and Design after Shark Tank?

After the company appeared on the show, the deal with Shark Kevin O’Leary went through and the deal was finalized. in 2014, Emmy Preiss, a former partner of Mills’ agreed to part ways.

They signed a contract where Preiss agreed to keep the ownership of the original location and Mills’ retained the rights of the franchise program.

Yet, after the deal with Kevin was closed, Preiss filed an official lawsuit against Mills’ stating that she was forced to sign the document against her will that practically ousted her from the business.

The lawsuits threatened to end the deal with Kevin, yet they were ultimately settled in December 2018 through mediation.

The company continues to be in business and had around 82 locations at the end of 2019. In 2020, the company was featured in Shark Tank’s “Greatest Of All Time” special episode in the category of greatest pitch successes.

As of 2021, the company is still in business with an annual revenue of $8 million.
