Growing up in hardships could have shaped his personality. You could say that Trey had battled all odds due to the little ray of positivity in his life that kept him going to build this empire and sparking a movement to motivate the youth. Trey saw from the age of 12 a dream that has not let him sleep to this day. Building an empire with the able guidance of his mother. He today has made Spergo a global brand.

Having started with just one type of product line this brand has expanded its marketing strategy in a very raw manner and today there are billboards in new York city showcasing the brand.

He started selling the shirts in barber shops and doing multiple rounds around shops and on roads to sell the product every Saturday. Today the brand has expanded and couriered to every part of the country and now it’s on its way to becoming a global brand.

Did Spergo get a deal on Shark Tank?

The pitch was power packed and life-changing experience when the mother-son duo Trey and Sherrel Brown came to shark tank seeking. Explaining to the sharks about the business, movement, and his life. He surely reminded the sharks of their goals and dear ones all the same. Trey had a goal to make his mother retire soon which he succeed at the age of 13, one year after he started.

The shark Daymond is very happy with the quality of the sweatshirt and makes a remark on the logo that has been done by hand. Trey has always been a role model for the youth and showcased the positivity to stand out and be a different crowd.

The Leo sweatshirt costs $21.50 to make and sells at $170. Today his dream has come true and he has had a social presence of 71,000 followers on his company page and  89,000 followers on Instagram. With a remarkable pace up in sales, the graph signifies an upward growth. 2018 sales were $40,000 followed by 2019 sales being $170,000. 2020 saw sales of $745,000 and finally, 2021 was the cherry on the top with sales of $939,000. The aim is to reach $2.2 million by the end of the next year.

Lori says she is not the right fit for the business and she’s out. Kevin loves the product but doesn’t do clothes so he’s out. Robert has a clothing investment with 100% sales online so he cannot scale the business. Mark wants to help the young superstar and offers $300,000 for 25%. Daymond decides not to work with mark and matched the offer. Trey asks Daymond to do 20%. He agrees without hesitation and hugs the deal.

The company saw 10,000 online orders to cater to and they had 40-60 orders a week. November saw the inauguration of the third brick-and-mortar store. The year ended like a cherry on the top of the cake. Sales for that year were a sweet $2.5 million, which means he surpassed his initial target. Completing his first milestone of making the business earn millions.
