Founder Story:

Joe Demin and Rachel Connors are the founders of the company. Like the hammock itself is a travel and relaxing accessory, it was inspired by travel itself. In 2008, after the recession of Joe lost his job and traveled to Hawaii with his wife. In 2011, he went on a bike ride to Thailand and stumbled on the hammock, there he met the weaver families and their art of weaving.

This creation of theirs urged him to help these families to make a living for themselves through their art. After returning to the US, he started the company with his wife Rachel. He not only wanted the Malbri people to earn but also a relaxing accessory for Americans.
