Over the past thirty years, Phil Black has amassed a list of remarkable accomplishments that includes being a DI college athlete, a Navy SEAL Officer, an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, a bootstrap entrepreneur, a two-time Shark Tank participant, a Johnson & Johnson human performance coach, a firefighter, a husband, and the father of four sons.
He graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree and Harvard Business School with an MBA.
Phil’s three sons attend the United States Naval Academy, his fourth son is still in high school, and his two oldest children, identical twins, are attending Yale University on Navy ROTC scholarships.
PrepWell Academy, established by Phil Black, employs a novel strategy to get high school students (as well as their parents) ready for the demands of the college admissions process.

Consequently, this dadpreneur started making a challenging and enjoyable resource for his own kids.
He was aware of his adolescent boys’ interests, but in order to carry out his plan, he needed additional knowledge, so he volunteered to be a college admissions counsellor and high school mentor.
His skills as a mentor and counsellor led him to develop the nation’s best college admissions resource.
Moreover, Phil Black is the first person to have made two appearances on Shark Tank with two different businesses.
Despite FitDeck’s inability to close a deal in 2014, Black’s impressive track record won over investors.
Black subsequently sold his company for a huge profit, and he later returned to the Sharks with an online college admissions tutoring firm.
The Sharks did not bite, despite Black’s brilliant proposal, and he did not get the $100,000 investment he had pitched for.
