Who are the founders of Fur zapper?

Michael Sweigart and Harry ‘Hairy’ Levin are the founders of Fur Zapper. Michael has experience in SEO and web marketing for car dealerships. He has a habit to note down his ideas in his note down because he is a confessed inventor. Fur Zapper was one such idea. While working Fright Fest part-time, he had a Zombie mask that he dropped on the floor and it got covered in dog hair.

When Michael washed the mask, all the hair came off easily and when he put it in the washer and dryer, not a single dog hair got stuck on his clothes. He studied the materials of the mask and decided to create Fur Zapper. When Harry suggested the Made in America program of Walmart, they went to Bentonville, Arkansas, and talked to pet and laundry buyers. Walmart accepted the product and placed it in all of its stores.

Michael went to a patent attorney and got his patent pending confirmation and also created a website. He went to Amazon for the widespread demand after contacting a manufacturer in Wisconsin for manufacturing the product. They just wanted to tap the online market and wanted a shark’s help for the same.

Did Furzapper get a deal on the Shark Tank?

Michael and Harry came to the shark tank looking for an investment of $600,000 for 10% equity in exchange for sharks’ expertise to build their business floors. The duo presented themselves very well and created a heated moment by disclosing their sales of $5 million. Once the sharks heard about the sales they just started giving offers to them. Sharks asked them why they are here if they are doing so well in terms of sales and profits.
